Ok, I haven’t seen a movie in 2 months and I don’t plan on seeing another movie till February, so I decided to make a Top 5 list to fill in the time. You know, considering I’m about to become a teenager my mind is still as though I’m 8 or 9, and a lot of my favorite shows are cartoons. Also, most of my favorite movies are also animated, and my dream movies are films based on cartoons. So, without further ado, let’s jump right in to my Top 5 cartoon movies from TV to theatre.
5. Fairly Odd Parents Abra Catastrophe! The Movie

First of all, let me get this out of the way… MAN, HAS FAIRY ODDPARENTS MADE A LOT OF MOVIES! NOT AS MUCH AS POKEMON, BUT STILL! Ok, now that’s out of my system, let me give you this, It wasn’t easy choosing the best, because, honestly, I love the Fairly Odd Parents, If I made a Top 5 list on Nicktoons, this would most certainly make it on the list, but the movies, are just ok. I love the one when they go inside the TV, but this isn’t on the list because I try to limit it to one movie per franchise, and Abra Catastrophe is just a little bit better. There’s also a live-action version, but that was just ok. This is my favorite movie from this franchise, and though it can be fairly odd, it really shows the bond between Timmy, his fairy god parents, and his biological parents. I just have one problem with this, it’s when the World turns into, uh, Monkey land or something. I just felt it wasn’t exactly necessary for the story, but it was funny. It wouldn’t be too bad if they changed the world many times or if it was brief, but, nope, just in the 3rd act Crocker gets hold of the muffin, and the Monkey land part of the movie lasted for about, say, 15 or 20 minutes. Other than that, this was a good first try for the Fairly Odd Parents in the movie business, and suddenly I feel like a muffin.
4. The Proud Family Movie
As seen on http://www.swapadvd.com/Proud-Family-Movie/dvd/81878/
I only watched a few episodes of The Proud Family, and honestly, the show isn’t my favorite. (Except for one person, Oscar!) But, before even seeing the show, I saw this movie through the internet, and I loved it! The villain is fun; the characters are funny, and a superb series finale to an ok show. My favorite characters are the villain, Sugar Mama, and Oscar. But, Oscar isn’t alone, there’s a clone of him (Like the rest of the Proud family), and I love the clone, because at first he starts of as a serious solider, but after mistaking the real Penny for the clone Penny, he starts to act like a normal dad, and he actually grew to be my favorite. The clone was better than the original, who knew. Let me fill you in on what this is about… Penny, Oscar, and the rest of the proud family take a vacation to a tropical island, but really, it’s a trap by the evil Dr. Carver so he can take the secret hot sauce recipe from Oscar and use it to make an evil peanut army and take over the world. There’s just one flaw though, and surprisingly, it isn’t the movie itself. In the DVD, there was an alternative ending with Sugar Mama’s dog growing to top size. Yes, we see where the characters have become after the movie, but other than that, it didn’t seem really necessary. Yes, it isn’t anything special but it isn’t supposed to be. It’s just supposed to be a good family movie meant to make you laugh as well as keep you hooked on some of the action.
3. Kim Possible: A Stitch in Time

There are two Kim Possible movies (THAT I KNOW OF!). One is decent and one is outstanding, one TV show quality, one better. Guess which one is better. Though I like the other one, this is the movie that deserves a place on the list, because not only does it show the bond between Kim and Ron on how they met and how things would be if they were apart, but it also shows the relationship between the villains. Man, every time they’re on screen I crack up. Ok, this is about Ron moving to Norway, thus without her sidekick, Kim Possible winning against the villains is slowly becoming impossible. (That reminds me, doesn’t that town have police?). But, Dr. Drakken, Monkey Fist (LOL), and Duff Killigan team up to go back in time and get rid of Kim before she became a hero so she wouldn’t exist to stop them in the present, thus leads to an adventure that crosses space and time (Man, I don't know if I should feel manly or girly writing this), which reminds me of another movie in the list coming up. My only problem is that all the characters in the future are just too stereotypical for me to enjoy, but it’s still a good movie for a good show.
2. Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension

To me, this was the most anticipated movie of the year, I’ve been looking up this movie for the whole year (Why did the title have to be so long) Phineas and Ferb is one of my 3 cartoon inspirations for my Man and the King series, but I always wondered one thing, what would happen if Phineas and Ferb met Perry the Platypus and went on a mission with him? I always thought Phineas would be happy… but I was dead wrong! I never see Phineas this angry since… I never had seen Phineas this angry! He shows a lot of emotion, and when you think about it, it makes sense, he thinks someone he knew his whole life has betrayed him. When I reflect on this, I might act the same way too. I love the songs and action, as well as the comedy being my kind of humor. Also, the ending almost put me in tears. I can’t find a single flaw in this movie, but why isn’t it top of the list? Well, it would be if this movie didn’t exist.
But seriously, imagine typing that title 4 times a day for a year!
And the number one pick is…
1. SpongeBob Squarepants: The Movie
As seen on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_SpongeBob_SquarePants_Movie
Oh yea, SpongeBob is an Animated god! The show is one of my inspirations of cartoons that inspire me to make Man and the King (You would notice a resemblance to Poor Man and SpongeBob/Patrick). Let me say this… This movie’s plot is ridiculous and stupid, yet, the way they present it, it couldn’t be more awesome! I love this movie so much that… well, I put it this high on the list didn’t I? Here’s an interesting note of trivia, this was originally set to be the finale of SpongeBob Squarepants, but due to the success of the show, how can they end it there, why not add 6 MORE SEASONS AND MORE TO COME!!! SERIOUSLY, THIS SHOW IS OLDER THAN I AM! Good thing I love it, and when I was 5-7, this was my life. I love the songs and I love the climax! The 3rd act isn’t a race to the finish or a fight to the death! No! It’s a rock song, and it’s so awesome! It centers around SpongeBob wanting to grow up because he can’t become the ‘man’ager of the Krusty Crab 2 (I know a sequel name). Meanwhile, Plankton frames Mr. Krabs by selling King Neptune’s crown to Shell City and prepares to execute Mr. Krabs if SpongeBob and Patrick don’t return with the crown by 6 days (Kind of dark for SpongeBob). I love SpongeBob and Patrick (If you see my toys and stuffed animals from childhood you would know) and probably one of the best animated movies Nickelodeon has ever produced, and if not, the best film.
