Ok... let me get this straight, I like Aardman all right. I never caught Arthur, but I love Chicken Run and Wallace and Gromit. Now, we get THIS MOVIE! THIS MOVIE! Well, some parts I did like, but some parts is just a piece of

Ok, I better be nice to it, I want to keep my nouse. So, first, the guy who's holding a sword against my head. I think he's also a...
Hey! Hair doesn't grow on, wait, it does, never mind. Ok, he's a good character, I can see his emotional side, I think he's a funny character, but, really, how many things can he keep in that beard, it's completely persposterous! And I mean that in a nice, caring, non persposterious way. The crew is good, though I have problems with some. Like the one disguised as a guy, I couldn't tell if it was a guy or girl, and when I found out it was a girl, I was deeply distrurbed. I like the albino pirate and the pirate who's like an unlimited fortune cookie.
The other pirates are just boring background characters. I'm not afraid to say this, if you've seen the movie the Captain should be thanking me for saying that. Now, for England, for me the highlighs of the movie. I've been there, I'm just bragging here. I love Charles Darwin, but not as much as my favorite character... BOBO THE MONKEY!
Ok! On par! Man, that sword cuts through hair like there's nothing there at all. So, Bobo, what can I say, drives me bananans. His cue cards brings the best running gag in the movie, and, well, that's all he stands for, but he's still awesome! Now, the Queen, is my new nightmare fuel of the month.

Well, ok, not Ratigan scary, but that chick is definantly on her, well, I can't say, this is a family friendly blog. I'm not scared of the Captain's sword anymore! Plus, Darwin has a really odd romantic interest with her which I find creepy. As villians go, she's ok, she's like the lover Victor from Wallance and Gromit Curse of the Were Rabbit found. But, like Victor, the studio did that and went there.
Please, let me have this! So, the characters, are a mix of drab, but it's mainly the extras I have a problem with, for the characters themselves are what make this moive fun. Unlike the plot, which isn't really bad, it's an ok plot, it worked on the first hundreds of films it was used on. Yea, I think hte plot is cliched. But, it's the joy and action the characters bring that makes it tolerable. But, if you read it in
Wikepedia, you might feel a little, say, I don't know, I want to live, uh, a little shabby. GOOD BYE CRUEL
Oh, I'm alive? Wow, not a bad shave, will you be my new barber? Anyway, the animation isn't really so
good either when you think of it. Some parts you can tell they used CGI. Like when the captain is cutting the ham and it's flying in the plates. Yea, you go let your hams fly to those plates, and go cut that ham like a child with a sword. And that yeast and foam effects, that's obviously an air bag, and if
that's CGI, wow, that's pretty bad. Ok, I shouldn't be so harsh on it, but Chicken Run had better animation than this, and that's their first film, and it's been 12 years! Some animation does look scratchy, but at least it isn't as bad as Fantastic Mr. Fox. Really, you couldn't be worst that that if you tried.
So, my final conclusive nicer thoughts.
Plot - 58/100 - Ok, this plot is cliched, you know what's going to happen, but the characters save it from it becoming a boring ride.
Characters - 70/100 The main characters are what save the money, but the minor characters are what try to kill it.
Comedy - 72/100 - There are parts that I find pretty hilarious. But, there are parts that are meh.
Heart - 60/100 - Eh, it is heartwarming, but like the plot CLICHE'D
Overall - 65/100 Now, I'm going to make thsi quick becuase the captain raised the sword, this isn't a bad movie, ok! I liked this movie! I just have my own personal issues with it! It's fun, it's funny, but if you're looking for soemthing sophisicated and you're looking for plot and a film that takes itself seriously,
give it a skip. But, try it anyway, I'm just a opinion throwing monkey.
(I blocked the card to hide the message, monkey's got a potty pen)

No offence Bobo. This is a good enough movie, but nothing memorable. I just didn't get into it as much as I wanted to. I give it a B+, and that's not bad, it's a good rating, just nothing great. Don't go sending your captains to machety the reviewer, just try and do better next time. So, yea, good day, good night, and see you next time, maybe.
